"Akçay Marshes and Wetland" is located in the North Aegean Basin, within the borders of Balıkesir province of Edremit district and on the coast of Edremit Bay. This wetland area has the characteristics of a reed swamp habitat and is a wetland area of 148.20 hectares (ha).
